Hello Folks!

I just met Erica. The young lady who owns Sheba. She works in Lacey at a hair salon and knows Brittany really well. She is nice and doesn't mind me hanging around. I noticed while I was there that she is quiet and the horses seem to enjoy being worked by her. She is really careful to...oh never mind. You guys won't care about all that horsie stuff. I need new opportunities to speak french because Rachel is pretty busy being a mom and I am very lazy. Does anyone (I know) know french? Any ideas? Ahhh, I'm in a interesting mood. Don't worry I'll come out of it. Joyanna

You could always move to France.
Or better yet, come live here! :-P

Seriously though...does anyone else in your family speak French? You could have a meal where you only spoke French to one another.
Or look for someone who speaks French and not much English...

Nope. Nobody but little me speaks French in my house. I love being diffrent and knowing something THEY do not. I think it comes with being the fifth child. Sadly I do not know anyone (except Rachel and her hubby Aaron) who speaks French. Oh, I do know my old teacher Mr. Hoxsey at Tenino High. But I am NOT going back there.
Oh well. *sigh* Next fall I will be going to South Puget Sound Community College and I wont have problems there.
I forgot, my mother found a DVD to go with the text books I have, but it will take a while for it to get here after she orders it.
Merci beaucoup for caring, Darren.
I read French tres bien but my spelling and listening need help.

This is sad. Really.
I mean, Maria and Whats-her-name-pirate-lady get like a bazillion comments, and you get 3? What's with that?
So now you have 4, I hope you appreciate it, and maybe those 2 will take a hint and come down here.

:P

Are there any French TV newscasters or shows (that are appropriate) in your area?
I'm guessing not.. :-/

Hmmm.
*thinks*
How long have you been speaking French?
What different conjugations have you looked at?
French in Action was a course we used last year. It was pretty good and came with a set of videos. (though I imagine them to be pretty pricey, we were just borrowing them)

I'll keep thinking and if I have any other ideas I'll tell you :-)

There are a couple girls on my floor who are taking French. I think they are only just beginning, though. You probably know more than they do, J. Hey! Only two days till your birthday!!! :-D I'm thinking about coming home this weekend. If I do, I'll come see you.

Trev, you're a jerk. :-P

Weeee! that will make my day! We won't be having a 'party' until Friday night anyways.
Thanks Trev. Oh, and the Pirate is my sister Elizabeth, or Lizzy if you like.
This will shock you Darren.(don't freak out though) We don't have or watch TV. :) I know of a few online places to go, but it's my dad's computer and he gets very grumpy if we are on it to long. I started French about a year and three months ago. I have studied at a pathitic excuse of a high school enough to know the very basics and get a small vocabulary. It's pretty hard for me to understand it when they speak fast though.

This will shock you, J. Darren doesn't have TV either. ;)

In fact, right now, neither do I! :P

Whoopeee! I'm not alone! I dislike what little I have seen of TV anyways. Why waste brain cells?
